A leading international not-for-profit organisation is looking for a Donor Finance Business Partner to join their team on a maternity cover basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with project managers and senior stakeholders, ensuring robust financial management across multiple global entities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on donor finance, overseeing reporting and compliance for various funders, including major foundations and FTSE 200 companies.
- Collaborate with project managers across multiple time zones to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage financial consolidation across four international entities, ensuring accurate management accounts and forecasts.
- Support revenue recognition, funder reporting, and contract negotiations, working closely with fundraising teams on financial proposals.
- Assist with budgeting and reforecasting, contributing to the wider financial planning process.
- Drive process improvements, ensuring financial data flows effectively through newly implemented project systems.
This role offers a hybrid working pattern with 1-2 days per week in the London office, with flexibility around working hours to accommodate global stakeholders. The organisation is open to part-time (0.8 FTE) or compressed hours, making it a great option for those looking for a more flexible arrangement.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Have experience in project accounting and donor finance, ideally within an international charity, research institution, or grant-funded environment.
- Be confident working across multiple entities, managing complex funder reporting and financial consolidation.
- Possess strong stakeholder management skills, able to collaborate effectively with project managers and budget holders with varying levels of financial understanding.
- Have excellent Excel skills and the ability to work proactively in a fast-moving environment.
