About Our Client:
Our client is a renowned and well-establishedmanufacturing business committed to maintaining the highest Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Advisor to join their team.
The Role:
Reporting to the EHS Manager, EMEA, the EHS Advisor will play a key role in ensuring compliance with all current and future EHS legislation. The role involves promoting and maintaining a safe working environment for employees, contractors, and visitors while driving a strong EHS culture across the organisation.
This is a full-time position based in Dartford, with flexibility over working hours and occasional travel across the EMEA region.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the development and promotion of an EHS culture, ensuring a safe and healthy working environment.
- Actively participate in the Global Safety Executive Committee and represent the EMEA region.
- Act as an EHS Business Partner to line management, guiding and supporting employees in implementing EHS best practices.
- Assist managers in demonstrating EHS leadership within their departments.
- Identify safety and environmental risks and work with teams to implement mitigation strategies.
- Conduct inspections and internal audits to ensure compliance with EHS regulations and internal standards.
- Develop and maintain EHS procedures and compliance programs to drive a safety-first culture.
- Participate in local EHS and Energy Conservation Committee meetings.
- Deliver EHS training, including induction programs, toolbox talks, fire warden, and first aid training.
- Ensure all EHS incidents and near misses are reported, investigated, and corrective actions are tracked to completion.
- Maintain and monitor incident logs, accident statistics, and electronic reporting systems.
- Assess EHS implications of new materials, equipment, and processes, ensuring proper control measures are in place.
- Support the maintenance and development of ISO 14001 (Environmental) and ISO 45001 (Health & Safety) standards.
- Drive continuous improvement across all EHS-related activities.
- Undertake any other duties as specified by the EHS Manager.
- Experience in an EHS role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, risk assessments, and compliance requirements.
- Previous experience with ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 is desirable.
- Proven ability to influence and engage at all levels of an organisation.
- Strong training and communication skills, with experience delivering safety training.
- Proactive and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving and incident investigation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
