Job Highlights:
Contract: Independent Contractor
Schedule: UK Time zone Tuesday and Thursday to start with

Overview:
UK-based high voltage engineering firm. We deliver detailed design,
review, and commissioning services for HV substations, including offshore wind and grid connection projects.
We're seeking remote support to assist our engineering team with QA of electrical schematics and documents control workflows. The initial engagement will be part-time, with potential to scale.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and redline electrical schematics (AutoCAD, EPLAN or similar)
• Update and track document versions in SharePoint or similar systems
• Prepare document submittals with metadata and correct naming conventions
• Liaise with our engineering team to interpret design notes and change requests
• Optional: Minor CAD edits or markup based on experience

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering
• Experience in schematic review or QA of HV/LV electrical drawings
• Familiarity with UK or EU substation design standards
• Proficiency in document control tools (e.g. SharePoint, BIM 360, or ProjectWise)
• Strong English communication and documentation skills
• Ability to overlap with UK time zone by at least 4 hours a day
