Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Opportunity: Crane Engineer

The Briggs Equipment Group is a leading provider of asset management and maintenance solutions across the UK and Ireland. We currently have an opportunity as a CraneEngineer based in Belfast.

In this role you will be:

• Servicing, maintaining, and repairing gantry crane equipment.
• Attending customer locations to determine the likely scope of the work required and ensuring safe working practices are adhered to.
• Identifying the root cause of a breakdown through fault finding to minimise downtime and disruption.
• Conducting electrical installation of new plant and machinery on occasion.
• Carrying out inspection/checks on own work as it proceeds and ensuring that the equipment performs satisfactorily and is safe before handing back to the customer.

What will help you to excel in this role:

• Relevant technical qualifications to include electrical controls and system wiring.
• Previous experience within a similar role or with high voltage preferred.
• Good understanding of mechanical and electrical principals
• The ability to manage and prioritise workload
