Electromechanical Maintenance Engineer - Liege Region - Permanent Role

I am partnered with a global organisation focused on steel production for the construction industry, they are looking for an engineer with an electromechanical background to join the maintenance team in a production site near Liege.

Responsibilities:

• Perform regular maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment across the plant.
• Maintain, adjust, and replace components of production equipment, including conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and other mechanical systems.
• Assist in the installation of new machinery or equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls to address breakdowns or issues that affect production.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
• Follow plant safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and industry best practices to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electromechanical Engineering.
• Experience working with electrical installations, you are in possession of a BA4 or BA5 certificate.
• Solid understanding of safety protocols and ability to work safely in a high-risk environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent organizational abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime, if necessary.
• Comfortable working in a noisy, hot, and occasionally hazardous industrial environment.
• French fluency is required.
