Job Description

Electronic Assembly Technician

Location: Greenwich, SE10

Contract Type: Ongoing Contract

Various Shift Patterns:

Mon - Thu Or Fri - Sun

Please note all shifts are on a rotation of two weeks of day then two weeks of nights:

  • Day Shift: 6am-5.30pm
  • Night Shift: 6pm-5.30am

However, please note the initial 6 weeks of training will take place during the weekdays (Mon-Thu)

Rate of Pay:

It is dependent on the shift pattern and your experience:

The Mon-Thu shift pays from £9-£11. The Fri-Sun shift pays from £11-£14.50.

Working in a busy manufacturing & production area for a large engineering company. These roles offer an opportunity to join a world-renowned company, who are specialists in their field.

Working within a team of Technical Assembly Operators, Support Engineers & Team Leaders, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient, safe, and accurate assembly of subsea telecommunications equipment.

MAIN DUTIES:

  • Using electrical, electronic, or mechanical assembly skills & expertise to ensure the product is built to acceptable quality
  • Following engineering drawings and specifications
  • Building, assembling, and installation of modules that make up the suites
  • Rack wiring completed for all the panels connecting to each other as per drawing
  • Assembling different power supply units and installation of cubicles
  • Working on control panels, including complete wiring on the panels using crimp tools
  • Component & D-type connector soldering
  • Electrical/Prototype Wiring
  • PCB Building
