Salary: £50,000 - £58,000 (depending on experience)

Our client is a rapidly growing Energy Services company with operations in Ireland, the UK, and Mexico. With a strong focus on energy audits and ESG-related projects, the company is on track for significant expansion. Clients range from major multinational corporations to nursing homes and manufacturers. As part of its expansion, the company is establishing a UK office in April.

As an Energy Lead Assessor, you will play a crucial role in evaluating and enhancing energy efficiency for a diverse range of clients. Your primary responsibility will be conducting detailed energy audits, identifying inefficiencies, and proposing solutions to optimize energy use. You will also support ESG projects, explore funding opportunities (such as SEAI grants), and provide technical guidance to clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed energy audits on buildings and industrial facilities, analysing mechanical, electrical, and process systems.

  • Identify energy-saving opportunities, calculate potential savings, and prioritize based on return on investment.

  • Prepare comprehensive audit reports outlining findings, recommendations, and expected cost and carbon savings.

  • Present audit results and proposals to clients, addressing questions and concerns.

  • Manage energy efficiency projects from assessment to implementation, coordinating with engineers, contractors, and utility representatives.

  • Provide technical guidance on energy efficiency opportunities in alignment with national targets and client sustainability goals.

  • Develop ESOS-compliant energy audit reports for a range of building types.

  • Stay updated on industry regulations, trends, and emerging technologies to ensure best-in-class service delivery.

  • Support clients in applying for energy-related grants and funding opportunities.

  • Foster strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Must be a registered ESOS Lead Energy Assessor with one of the following:

    • Association of Energy Engineers (Certified Energy Auditor or Certified Energy Manager International)

    • CIBSE Low Carbon Consultant (ESOS Lead Assessor subset)

    • Elmhurst Energy Systems ESOS Lead Assessor

    • Energy Institute (Chartered Energy Manager, Register of Professional Energy Consultants)

    • Energy Managers Association ESOS Lead Assessor

    • Institution of Chemical Engineers ESOS Lead Assessor

    • IEMA Register of Members for third-party Lead Assessors

    • Quidos or Stroma Certification Ltd ESOS Lead Energy Assessor Certification

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Energy Management, Energy Systems, or a relevant field.

  • Minimum of 6 years' experience in a similar role, conducting energy audits and implementing efficiency measures.

  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites across the UK.

  • Strong understanding of building systems, including HVAC, lighting, insulation, and energy management.

  • Knowledge of energy-efficient technologies, renewable energy options, and energy conservation strategies.

  • Experience with cost estimation for renewable energy systems.

  • Strong project management skills, ensuring projects meet budget and timeline requirements.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client engagement.
