Enterprise Portfolio Officer
Posted 12 hours 38 minutes ago by British Heart Foundation
British Heart Foundation (BHF) is the leading independent funder of research into heart and circulatory diseases and the largest charity retailer in the UK. Our lifesaving work is advanced by investment in medical research - we have over £410 million of BHF-funded research underway, with an aspiration to invest £1 billion in research over the next ten years.
Engaging with our customers more effectively to drive more support and income is crucial to our strategic fundraising efforts, enabling us to fund more and more life-saving research.
To help us deliver this strategic ambition, we're recruiting an Enterprise Portfolio Officer to support the management and oversight of the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO), whose activities collectively ensure the strategic alignment, execution, and performance of BHF's overall investment in projects and programmes.
In this role you'll assist the EPMO, and other directorate-level stakeholders, to ensure BHF optimises the value secured at an enterprise-level, from the delivery of its operational plans and its investment in change and transformation initiatives.
Working closely with the Enterprise Portfolio Manager, you'll monitor and report on the portfolio's health, risks, issues, dependencies, and resource capacity and utilisation, facilitating decision-making for portfolio optimisation and improvement.
Working arrangements
Please note this is an 18 month fixed term contract.
This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London office.
At BHF we believe in the power of being together, so our colleagues on blended contracts can expect to spend some time in their office, at least one day each week, on average. The use of our office spaces is driven in part by your role and the activities you need to do. This may vary from time to time, so you will need to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause.
About you
With a proven track record of supporting the monitoring and delivery of projects and programmes, you'll have previous experience in an administrative or coordination role within large-scale organisations.
With a basic understanding of portfolio management principles and methodologies, you'll also have the following skills and experience:
Strong interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Good organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
Familiarity with project & portfolio management tools and software.
Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
An ability to deal with ambiguity, adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced,
dynamic environment.
