Position Overview

Connect44 is currently hiring for an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to join the team on a hybrid basis from our office in Bracknell.

Role Summary

Working as part of the Connect44 Group Assurance Function to support wider compliance activities across the Connect44 Group.

Responsibilities:
  1. Support pre-sales activities related to EHS management, such as RFI/RFPs.
  2. Maintain and improve existing EHS management systems to support telecommunications field engineering activities, including mobile rollout and site maintenance.
  3. Ensure ongoing compliance with accreditation standards such as SafeContractor, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001.
  4. Collaborate with UK operational teams to ensure EHS compliance across UK activities.
  5. Implement frameworks to monitor and report EHS compliance.
  6. Drive continual improvement of EHS management systems.
  7. Conduct on-site audits, potentially nationwide.
  8. Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses for EHS-related events, ensuring corrective actions are taken and lessons are shared.
  9. Identify, assess, and mitigate EHS risks in operational projects and office environments.
  10. Deliver or coordinate EHS training and awareness initiatives, especially for field engineers.
  11. Stay updated on relevant EHS legislation and best practices, advising stakeholders accordingly.
  12. Knowledge of EcoVadis and CDP is advantageous.
Qualifications and Experience

Education & Certifications:

  • NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management
  • NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety

Experience:

  • At least 8 years of experience in various industries in a Health & Safety management capacity.
  • Experience managing ISO management systems.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
