Job Description
EPM Delivery and Engagement Specialist
Hours: Hybrid/Flexible hours (7.4 hours per day)
Assignment Description: We are seeking an experienced EPM Delivery and Engagement Specialist to manage and oversee the delivery of a successful go-live and initial development of EPM requirements and artefacts at our public sector client.
Assignment Deliverables:
- Liaise with the relevant body to understand the timetable and deliverables expected as part of the Oracle Fusion EPM implementation process and the functionality that will be available.
- Quickly build subject matter knowledge relating to the "as is" budget management and forecasting processes, including annual budget preparation, managing in-year budgets and forecasts, and monthly performance reporting.
- Review, optimise, and develop the 'to-be' budget management processes and reporting, making best use of the EPM functionality available.
- Liaise with the relevant government body to review and implement integration feeds required as part of the 'to-be' processes.
- Explore the feasibility of bulk data uploads and budget manager review of data using Smartview.
- Test the proposed Oracle EPM solution by designing, carrying out, and evaluating end-to-end testing.
- Lead and influence stakeholders to adopt change and achieve optimum outcomes, including leading the cutover and change management activities required to go-live and adopt the new EPM module in line with implementation timetables.
- Meet project timelines and deliverables, producing documentation of agreed new processes, which may also include developing guidance to support users.
Essential Skills, Competencies, Relevant Qualifications, and Previous Experience Required:
- Experienced in the delivery of new systems or new process rollouts, managing the change process including communication and support for new users.
- Experienced management accountant with an excellent understanding of budgeting and forecasting business processes, including staff forecasting, contingency management, budget phasing, and maintenance.
- Ability to quickly absorb and synthesise information, building rapport and relationships. Solution-focused, delivering pragmatic 'to-be' options and solutions.
- Flexible and adaptable approach, and an advanced user of Excel/Smart View.
- Able to marry business requirements to the available system functionality, reviewing 'as-is' budget processes, objectives, risks, and controls together with the underlying data and processes that underpin these key business processes.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate complex financial and technical information to non-finance stakeholders in an understandable way.
Desirable Additional Skills and Experience:
- A recognised management accounting qualification such as CIMA.
- Experience of working with Oracle Fusion.
- Knowledge and experience of using Smartview to create Smartview templates within EPM.
- VBA/Power query skills.
