What You'll Do
Based in the London office, this role will be joining an established team of EA managers. The role has responsibility for managing and developing a large team of Executive Assistants (including Senior EAs) who provide full EA and administrative support to a variety of Senior Stakeholders in the business. The role requires a strong people leader, ideally from within a professional services environment.
The EA Manager will organise, assign, delegate and coordinate the work of the EA team to ensure Office and Business Services objectives are met in a timely and accurate manner while accomplishing these and other critical functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing workflow and coordination of EA assignments based upon client needs
- Coordinating with other departmental managers regarding EA operational issues and other logistical and resource requirements
- Working with Senior EAs to ensure cover for both planned and unplanned EA absences (vacation, sickness, personal days)
- Facilitating conflict resolution
- Determining and managing ratios and flexible working requests
- Leading the full recruitment cycle from initiation to completion
- Continually monitoring productivity and take necessary action to adapt and improve where necessary
- Managing the annual and mid-year performance review processes for the team, generating performance evaluations for all assistants
- In conjunction with HR, the team of EA managers and the Head of Ops, review salaries periodically and benchmark with market
- Management of appraisals, one-to-one and team meetings
- Ensure effective communication with the EA staff regarding firm policies, procedures and expectations
Learning and Development:
- Responsibility for the ongoing development and delivery of the induction programme for all new EAs; coordinating and participating in induction and orientation training
- Identifying training needs / issues and supporting the development, implementation and assessment of ongoing secretarial programmes
- Coaching, motivating, advising on best practices
- Working with the global teams to develop, deliver and facilitate best in class training across BCG's secretarial and administrative professionals to ensure aligned and consistent knowledge, skills and abilities
Project Management:
- Supporting the Head of Ops in establishing strategic and operational priorities for the EA team with the EA Management team
- Work with the Head of Ops, EA Management team and HR to implement and drive change
- Champion operational excellence in all processes - review and assess gaps and implement changes
- Embed a culture of continuous improvement and innovation

- Constant collaboration within the EA Management team to ensure alignment within EA population
- Drive and enthusiasm to motivate and encourage a large and diverse team
Who You'll Work With:
You will be a member of the senior management team which consists of six individuals (Operations Senior Director, Client Experience, Workplace Manager, 3x EA Managers).
