Your tasks and responsibilities will encompass the following, among others:- Write detailed and well-structured forensic engineering reports on distressed buildings across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.
- Produce comprehensive building defect reports for body corporates and owner corporations.
- Offer practical and economical solutions to technical problems encountered.
- Perform site inspections for properties across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.
- Contribute to the innovative and technical improvement of projects and designs.
- Provide a detailed scope of works for repairs, ensuring ease of cost estimation by builders.
- Manage key stakeholders and provide technical updates and feedback.
- Achieve KPIs and maintain required turnaround times.
- Attend VCAT hearings as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in forensic structural engineering, including site inspections, report writing, and technical analysis.
- Familiarity with building defects, deterioration mechanisms, and repair techniques.
- Ability to effectively communicate findings in written reports and verbal presentations.
- Experience with legal proceedings and providing expert witness testimony is a plus.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry trends.
