Job Description

Job Title: Facility Maintenance Engineer

Location: Brome, IP23 7HN - 5 days per week

Rate: £16.00ph PAYE

Employment Type: Contract (12 months)

Hours: Standard 40 Hours Per Week

Job Description:

We are looking for a Skilled Maintenance Engineer to maintain and repair our factory equipment and provide extended support to operations.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  1. Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on factory machinery and equipment.
  2. Reactive Maintenance: Respond to equipment breakdowns, diagnose issues and implement repairs.
  3. Facilities Maintenance: Perform general maintenance tasks, including plumbing, carpentry, and minor construction.
  4. System Monitoring: Monitor and maintain critical systems like HVAC, fire alarms, and electrical panels.
  5. Equipment Inspection: Inspect heaters, oil tanks, and oil pipelines.
  6. Vendor Co-ordination: Manage vendor relationships and co-ordinate equipment repairs and replacements.
  7. Assembly and Installation: Assemble new equipment and install components.
  8. Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts and scissor lifts safely.
  9. Inventory Management: Maintain a list of all the tools and consumables used for maintenance purposes.
  10. Escalation Management: Report any unsolvable issues on time to Reporting Person and to Vendor and resolve the issues quicker.
  11. Other extended Support: Jet wash vehicles, floors, set up cafeteria for customer visits, visit guest houses for any fix issues, and so on.

Experience Required:

  • Extensive experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
