You will play a key role in bringing complex technology to clinical labs and facilitate the use of the instruments by providing thorough trainings to our client's customers.

Job description

As a Field Application Specialist, you will become a trusted partner to the customers, serving as their go-to expert for implementing and optimizing microbiology and molecular diagnostics workflows. You'll play a critical role in ensuring a seamless customer experience-from pre-sales support and solution design to post-implementation training and continuous workflow improvements. Working in close collaboration with sales, marketing, and technical support teams, you'll be instrumental in delivering tailored, end-to-end solutions that meet the highest quality standards. What you'll do:

  • Partner with Regional Account Managers to support territory planning and uncover new opportunities
  • Conduct in-depth onsite assessments to identify customer needs and help build strong business cases
  • Deliver impactful product demonstrations and provide expert application support during pre-sales engagements
  • Lead customer training and ensure successful implementation of BD microbiology instruments
  • Provide post-installation support, troubleshooting, and workflow optimization tailored to each laboratory environment
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues, follow up on corrective actions, and elevate the overall customer experience


Required competences & skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Microbiology, Molecular Diagnostics, or equivalent field
  • Proven experience (>3 years) in a clinical or hospital lab environment, ideally with exposure to diagnostic instrumentation and software
  • Strong understanding of laboratory workflows, with working knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma or change management in healthcare
  • Familiarity with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS)
  • Trilingual: fluent Dutch, French, and English
  • Proactive, well-organized, and confident in customer-facing settings
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a natural ability to build trust and collaboration
  • Willing to continuously travel across the BeNeLux
