Field CTO

An established leader in the telecom industry is seeking a Field CTO to drive strategic technology initiatives and represent the company at the highest levels. This role requires a seasoned expert with deep technical knowledge, strong industry presence, and the ability to engage with key clients, partners, and stakeholders at major industry events.

Remote role in EMEA.

Key Responsibilities

1. Serve as the company's technological spokesperson, engaging with clients, partners, and industry leaders
2. Represent the company at customer meetings, conferences, and panel discussions
3. Provide thought leadership and insight into the company's technological vision
4. Work closely with internal teams to align customer needs with technical innovations
5. Drive business development through strategic technology insights in the telecom sector
6. Maintain and expand relationships with high-profile clients
7. Lead with strategic foresight, particularly in high-pressure situations
8. Travel up to 40% as required for business needs

1. Extensive expertise in cellular technology (2G, 3G, 4G, 5G)
2. Familiarity with feature sets of cellular networks
3. 8+ years' experience with a mobile network operator (MNO) in an engineering or technology leadership role (CTO, VP Engineering, or similar)
4. Proven ability to work with C-level executives and cross-functional teams
5. Strong leadership, negotiation, and crisis management skills
6. BSc in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (MSc/PhD in Communication Theory, Systems, or Signal Processing preferred)
