We are currently seeking a Field Technical Manager with Escalator & Elevator knowledge to be the first point of contact for our skilled engineers and technicians, to provide support.
As a Field Technical Manager, your day to day will include:
- Provide point of contact technical support to TKE field technicians across the UK, with occasional travel to give on-site support when required.
- Development of Technical support capabilities to embed a variety of TKE initiatives, including training, support and team oversight.
- Provide Information on TKE products, manuals, diagnostic and adjustment data, technical bulletins, GAD' and electrical schematics, making sure they're kept up to date and available for the UK field operations and working in accordance with the company objectives and business plans.
- Manage operational metrics in line with defined targets and set in place actions to address any shortfalls identified.
- Write technical reports in a professional manner, to be presented to clients, consultants and for internal use.
- Proven experience working as a Tech / Customer support engineer
- Excellent communication skills: verbal, telephone and written
- Positive attitude, capable of working under pressure as part of a team
- Confident in using your own initiative and proactive thinking outside of the box
- An investigative mind-set that approaches issues from all angles, especially for the purpose of identifying workarounds for on-going incidents
- Demonstrated exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills
- NVQ4 (or similar) qualification an advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
