THE ROLE

An exciting 12-month FTC opportunity as a Finance Business Analyst within Entertainment, offering hands-on experience in a production environment. The Finance Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in providing financial analysis and insights that support the efficient management and profitability of Entertainment Production.

Key Responsibilities

Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Manage and produce the ongoing Production Pipeline for budgeting, forecasting & long-term financial planning process, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial assumptions.
  • Manage the rolling cash-flow forecast with support from the Management accountants, leading on the key drivers and aligning closely with the Production accountants to ensure timely & accurate billing.
  • Produce both monthly and quarterly reporting requirements and key performance metrics for Global Entertainment HQ.
  • Work closely with the Management Accountants to ensure accurate period end close.
  • Produce insight to track performance against financial targets, identifying risks and opportunities in real-time.
  • Support ad hoc reporting requirements for both finance and production leadership, including recommendations and alignment to business strategy.
Compliance & Risk Management
  • Produce the output for the financial audits, addressing any related queries or findings.
  • Play an active role in the weekly genre approval boards, with ownership of capturing all the greenlight/amberlight productions & approvals.
Process Improvement
  • Identify areas for improvement in financial processes, systems, and reporting.
  • Support any initiatives of financial systems and tools to streamline budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities.
Stakeholder Management
  • The role will have regular contact with the business area through face-to-face meetings, building and developing strong relationships.
  • The role will support the Head of Finance and act as a liaison between the finance department and production teams.
WHAT DOES IT TAKE?

Knowledge and Skills

  • Modelling, budgeting and forecasting
  • Financial analysis and reporting to financial and non-financial stakeholders
  • SAP experience
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills reflecting an ability to manipulate and interpret data.
  • Ability to work autonomously and use initiative.
  • Experience of period end close and associated controls.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • Media and Production work experience
PACKAGE DESCRIPTION

Contract type: 12 month fixed-term contract
Salary: up to £52,000 plus London Weighting depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience.
Location: Office Base is London Television Centre. This is a hybrid role.
