  • Define, implement, and embed new ways of working to drive efficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting-leveraging automation and process improvement.
  • Provide analytical support on commercial initiatives, including business cases, ROI evaluations, pipeline analysis, and performance tracking (pre- and post-mortem).
  • Support end-to-end ownership of sales commission processes, from interpreting sales outputs to reviewing and validating final commission payments.
  • Partner with sales and revenue teams to ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition, including understanding of complex deal structures or billing models.
  • Identify and monitor key risks, opportunities, and KPIs, and proactively flag any emerging trends or variances.
  • Own the forecasting and budgeting process for revenue and commercial cost lines, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and operational drivers.
  • Collaborate with central finance to ensure integrity and quality of data, timely reporting, and alignment across planning processes.
  • Drive commercial process and systems improvements in collaboration with sales operations, data teams, and finance systems.
  • Lead on the development of dashboards, models, and tools to enhance visibility, scenario planning, and decision-making.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with 5+ years post-qualified experience, ideally within a commercial, FP&A, or sales finance role.
  • Highly analytical with the ability to connect datasets, identify patterns, and drive commercial recommendations.
  • Strong self-starter, able to work independently, define their own remit, and bring structure to ambiguous problems.
  • Deep understanding of revenue recognition and sales performance metrics.
  • Proven experience of business partnering in a dynamic, fast-paced commercial environment.
  • Comfortable managing ambiguity and influencing senior stakeholders with confidence.
  • Excellent modelling skills with advanced Excel and exposure to tools such as Power BI, SQL, or similar.
  • Experience with forecasting, budgeting, and planning tools (e.g. Planful, Power BI, Dynamics, Binary Stream) is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills-able to tailor financial storytelling to both finance and non-finance audiences.
  • Energetic and adaptable mindset, always seeking ways to improve and contribute beyond the core remit.
  • Experience working in a matrixed or multi-entity environment is a plus.
