FINANCE DIRECTOR

Leicester £75,000 - £100,000 + Bonus Hybrid Working Permanent, Full-Time

YOUR ROLE:

As Finance Director, you'll lead the finance function, ensuring financial control, strategic decision-making, and compliance across multiple international locations.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  2. Managing financial analysis, reporting, and month-end processes.
  3. Presenting accurate, insightful financial data to the Board and external stakeholders.
  4. Handling UK and international tax compliance, ensuring deadlines are met.
  5. Leading audits, statutory accounts, and R&D tax credit claims.
  6. Managing bank relationships, business insurance, and financial risk.
  7. Driving IT and process improvements to integrate finance and operations.
  8. Supporting funding for organic growth and acquisitions.
  9. Leading an overseas accounts team and ensuring intergroup financial accuracy.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

We're seeking an experienced, hands-on finance leader with:

  1. ACA, CIMA, or ACCA qualification.
  2. Strong financial management experience, ideally within an SME.
  3. Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  4. High-level Excel skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
  5. Proven ability to manage tax, compliance, and currency complexities across multiple locations.
  6. Strategic thinking with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
  7. Experience leading and developing finance teams, including overseas teams.
  8. The ability to roll up your sleeves and dive into the details when needed.
