Job Description

Adecco are currently partnered with an independent financial services body to recruit a Finance Planning & Reporting Analyst on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organisation offering hybrid working (2 days a week onsite) from their Central London office.

The Role

You will support the Treasury Manager with financial reporting, forecasting and analysis. This will include making recommendations for levies required to senior management, working on the levying process including calculations, monitoring funds received and levy payer queries. The role is also responsible for monitoring the Scheme's cash position and ensuring funding arrangements are in place.

Responsibilities

Financial Analysis, Forecasting and Reporting

  • Support in the production of budgets and forecasts
  • Financial analysis of data sets (including compensation and claims data)
  • Reviewing accuracy of data before publication (externally and internally)
  • Present analysis and recommendations to senior level management
  • Prepare relevant KPIs and scorecard metrics.
  • Prepare month end reporting packs and commentary.
  • Understanding and use finance systems including the Tagetik forecasting system

Levies

  • Partner with colleagues across the organisation to ensure all relevant levy forecasting inputs (costs and income) are obtained for the levy calculation model
  • Maintain calculation model and ensure all process documentation is kept up to date
  • Work with various teams to develop industry updates and levy publications
  • Build and maintain relationships with FCA revenue team
  • Understand the PRA and FCA levy rules to answer levy related queries from industry bodies and levy payers
  • Work with Legal team to decide on outcome of levy credit requests from levy payers

Treasury

  • Maintain cashflow forecast model
  • Support in negotiating funding agreements including overdraft, £1.45bn revolving credit facility and arrangements with HM Treasury
  • Develop funding presentations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Ad hoc support for Treasury payments team

Other

  • Support National Audit Office with annual audit of treasury processes and controls.
  • Ensuring finance ledgers are up to date
  • Identify and drive process improvement opportunities.
  • Represent treasury team at relevant internal project meetings

  • Qualified accountant preferable
  • Understanding of accounting concepts
  • Successful evidence of liaising with a range of stakeholders across jurisdictions and regulators within the financial sector
  • Demonstrate proactive and excellent communication skills
  • High level of confidence in making decisions and ensuring the implementation of decision is followed through
  • Share knowledge and experience with others and evidence effective outcomes of this
  • Demonstrate high level of influencing skills to ensure interests of FSCS and the customer are met

  • Evidence proactive approach for the best outcome for the customer
