Description

We are seeking a dynamic Financial Accountant to join our fast-growing SaaS business on an Initial 6-month FTC. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills, capable of optimising financial systems, practices, and processes. As the Finance process champion, the role holder will focus on driving continuous improvement initiatives across the Finance function. Key responsibilities include automating accounts payable, managing group financial statement consolidation, and ensuring compliance with IFRS and GAAP. The role requires collaboration with finance teams across subsidiaries and coordination with external auditors. A professional certification (e.g., ACA, CIMA, ACCA) and extensive experience in financial accounting are essential, with a preference for candidates familiar with Microsoft and Sage Intacct systems. Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements for the group, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
  • Coordinate with external auditors for the group's annual audit.
  • Assist in the preparation of the group's quarterly financial report and filings.
  • Implementation of ERP systems and maintain accounting systems for reporting purpose.
  • Identify, develop, and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.
  • Work closely with finance teams across subsidiaries (internal and external) to gather financial information, ensure consistency and timely management reporting.
  • Assist with transfer pricing, manage and reconcile intercompany accounts and transactions according to group policy.
  • Support the group's budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Analyse budget variances and provide insights to management.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • Professional certification (e.g., ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
  • Implementation of ERP system exposure is highly preferred (e.g. PO systems, expense management system/procure-to-pay automation).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Sage Intacct systems exposure preferred
  • Extensive experience in financial accounting, with a focus on group consolidation.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Ability to support and coordinate on project-related tasks.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and consolidation tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Skills
  • Experience in transition from UK GAAP to IFRS
  • Microsoft PowerBI and PowerPoint
