Financial Accountant

KennedyPearce is partnered with a media production company whose content creation extends from print and online publishing to audio broadcasting and entertainment, reaching over 50 million people across the UK and Europe.

We are recruiting for a Financial Accountant in a hybrid working model to join the finance team and play a pivotal role in supporting the Senior Finance Manager with financial reporting and a variety of other financial operations.

Key Responsibilities of the Financial Accountant:

1. Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts for both the Group and its subsidiaries.
2. Ensure accuracy in monthly balance sheet reconciliations, providing robust documentation to support year-end processes.
3. Assist in monthly management reporting, ensuring accurate reconciliation between management and statutory accounts.
4. Contribute to the external annual audit, including the preparation of statutory financial statements.
5. Provide ad-hoc support to the Financial Controller and the wider finance team, contributing to various ongoing projects.

Your Profile:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant with strong technical accounting skills.
• Exposure to revenue accounting is beneficial, but not essential.
• A hands-on, proactive approach, comfortable working with manual processes.
