Your Next Challenge Moneycorp is seeking a Financial Control - Senior Accountant to take ownership of the Finance & Treasury systems suite and support their users including Purchase Ledger system, Expense system, General ledger, trading platforms and supporting SQL databases. Work alongside the Finance Systems Manager to manage the prepaid card programme and to support multiple tactical and strategic projects. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Moneycorp Bank Prepaid Card Programme : Responsible for the card programme financial reporting including running the daily VB scripts, posting journals, reconciling and allocating. Highlighting issues or problems. Reconciliation to the OMNI account, completing Bank Recs. Amending the PPC settlement files from MasterCard.
  • Purchase Ledger System (IPOS) : Configuration and maintenance of the IPOS system managing the structure including new business unit, users, items, approval matrix. Investigating user issues and troubleshooting. Month end revaluation and uploads of sub ledgers. Mobile application support.
  • Infor Expense System : Static Data maintenance for Infor Expenses, Infor expenses configuration changes. Maintaining the VB scripts, producing Tableau reports including backup for expenses payments and compliance reporting on gifts and hospitality. Providing mobile application and OCR support.
  • SUN : Configuration changes to meet Finance & Business requirements. Take ownership of upgrade processes including testing and configuration changes. Ensuring the current system is fit for purpose for Finance users. Facilitating with the implementation of the new functionality arising from the upgraded software.
  • Data Warehouse : Ownership and maintenance of the Finance Data Warehouse. Support the development team in testing new tables, data and SQL pulls. Ensure that the requirements documented by the development team reflect the correct accounting treatment. Support the USER acceptance testing cycle. Critically evaluate proposed solutions.
  • B4B : Configuration changes to the Payments software to meet Finance requirements.
  • Q&A : Creating relevant reporting to ensure the needs of Finance and Business users. Designing templates to assist with Finance requirements.
  • Intrafin : Daily loads using SQL. Developing any interfaces required due to changes in INTRAFIN software or Business needs.
  • SQL : The ability to use SQL to assist with ad hoc business requirements.
Knowledge and Experience:
  • Proven finance systems skills (including the usage of the system SUN or similar GL system), and a proven track record in the configuration, maintenance and administration of accounting and reporting systems.
  • Extensive SQL and Access Database experience including configuration of databases and stored procedures.
  • Extensive experience of interfacing between the GL system and supporting trading/source systems.
  • Experience of working within financial services and regulated entities.
  • Experience of end-to-end process flows and data quality management of FX or volume payments processes or wholesale banking physical notes business preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with large data reconciliations and posting journals.
  • Previous experience of working in a fast-paced finance environment.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Management skills, notably people, stakeholders and processes.
  • Advance IT skills most notably with programming languages such as VBA, VB Script, SQL and MS packages specifically Excel (including pivot tables) or equivalent is essential.
  • Proficient use of Visual Basic and SQL and using both to apply to reconciliations and processes.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Good analytical abilities, with an enquiring mind.
  • Robust, capable of clearly and strongly articulating position.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to think analytically and work methodically in a high performing team.
Education:
  • Fully qualified accountant (ideally either ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or equivalent relevant professional qualification, with proven work experience in a related position.
