Financial Controller - 15 Month FTC

Financial Controller needed for a global sports and entertainment brand! This role is a 15-month fixed term contract that will lead technical accounting processes under both local and US GAAP.

My client is looking for a highly experienced, technically strong Financial Controller, who has great knowledge of US GAAP and SOX.

Role Responsibilities:

• Act as the key contact for internal and external audits, ensuring audits run smoothly, and managing relationships with relevant reporting authorities.
• Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial reporting packs for statutory entities.
• Take ownership of financial control processes, ensuring robust and effective management of internal controls to safeguard financial integrity.
• Responsible for delivering insightful analysis and explanation of financial results, highlighting key variances and their impact on the company's overall financial performance.
• Ensure that financial reporting packs for statutory entities are complete, accurate, and timely, supporting decision-making and compliance with external reporting requirements.
• Assess capital expenditure processes, ensuring proper recording of internal labour costs and alignment with project budgets and forecasts.
• Manage and mentor a team of 2 qualified Accountants.

Candidate Requirements:

• Professional Qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX controls.
• Proven experience in providing financial leadership within a commercial setting.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience in managing and motivating a small finance team.
• Have worked in a complex, multi-national organisation.
