How you'll drive success:
As a key member of our Finance team, success in this role means being a trusted business partner and a go-to source of financial insight. You'll play a vital role in helping us drive performance and make data-led decisions across the business. Here's how you'll make an impact:
- Be a Strategic Finance Partner: Collaborate with budget holders and stakeholders to provide insightful, solutions-focused financial advice that supports performance, informs decision-making, and builds trusted relationships across the business.
- Own the Numbers: Take ownership of daily, weekly, and monthly reporting processes - tracking progress against budgets and forecasts. Proactively support and challenge our Retail Leadership team to optimise store performance.
- Support Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the FP&A Manager to develop budgets and forecasts for our Ecommerce, Wholesale, and Retail channels.
- Build the Future: Support the development of business cases across various departments to help shape future opportunities and investments.
- Drive Improvements: Gain a solid understanding of current systems and processes and take the initiative to identify and implement enhancements.
- Work as One Team: Collaborate with the wider Finance team to share insights, resolve queries, and support the delivery of accurate and timely forecasts.
- Month End Contribution: Assist the Financial Reporting team with month-end activities and provide insightful commentary on forecast variances.
- Get Involved: Contribute to a variety of ad hoc projects, adding value through your financial expertise and business understanding.
What you'll need to thrive:
We're looking for someone who's not just great with numbers, but passionate about turning data into actionable insights that drive the business forward. Here's what will set you up for success:
- FP&A Experience: You've previously worked in a Financial Planning & Analysis role and are confident delivering routine FP&A processes with accuracy and consistency.
- Strong Business Partnering Skills: You have a proven track record of building trusted, productive relationships across finance and non-finance teams, managing competing priorities with confidence and professionalism.
- Excel & Systems Proficiency: You're highly skilled in Microsoft Excel and comfortable navigating financial systems to extract, analyse and interpret data.
- Analytical & Commercial Mindset: You bring a sharp analytical approach, always seeking to understand the 'why' behind the numbers. Your commercial awareness allows you to connect the dots and add real value.
- Excellent Communicator: You can clearly and confidently communicate financial insights to stakeholders at all levels, both in writing and in conversation, influencing decisions with credibility.
- Problem Solver at Heart: You're naturally curious, proactive, and solutions-oriented, always on the lookout for smarter ways to work and eager to improve processes.
- Self-Starter: You work equally well independently as you do in a team, taking ownership and driving your own work forward with minimal supervision.
The Interview Process and Candidate Experience:
- Life Story & Values: a 30 min video call with our Talent Team for us to get to know each other better, asking questions inspired by our three core values.
- Experience Interview: a slightly longer video call for you to meet our Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, Nick, and discuss your skill-set and experience for the role.
- Remote Task: you will have 1 hour 30 minutes to complete a remote task. This will then be reviewed by Nick and our Finance & Operations Director, Stephen.
- Final Interview: 1 hour in-person interview with Nick and Stephen to present the findings of your task and discuss any questions.
Feedback: We're committed to creating the best candidate experience we can for you. You'll receive feedback over the phone or email at every stage in the process once you've had an interview so that we can set you up for success and help fuel your growth.
