FP&A Manager International, fixed term contract, 9 months

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced FP&A professional to support Glanbia Performance Nutrition's International FP&A team. The role will closely with finance teams in GPN's various international markets to understand and explain business performance, and the role will also work closely with the International accounting team during month-end close to ensure numbers reported are complete and accurate. The role will also support various finance transformation initiatives that are on-going within the GPN business. This is a 9 month fixed term contract opportunity

  • Owning and supporting the financial planning processes throughout the year (i.e. strategy, budgets and forecasts) by working with the International markets to consolidate financial plans and then explaining overall financial performance.
  • Support the month-end close process by reviewing the P&L and working closely with the accounting team to ensure reported results are complete and accurate and that variances to the latest plan are appropriately explained.
  • Assist in telling the story of the International business by preparing clear and insightful reporting and presentations of actual results versus plan and prior year.
  • Help drive improvements across the Finance function including developing and improving systems and processes around financial planning, month-end reporting, and commercial finance analytics.
  • Preparing ad hoc financial analysis and financial presentations as requested by the business and key stakeholders.

The Skills you will bring to the team

  • In depth knowledge of accounting and financial principles.
  • Experience leading financial planning cycles such as the annual budget and periodic reforecasts.
  • Experience preparing monthly financial presentations to explain business results to executive stakeholders.
  • Highly analytical mind-set with ability to pull insights and storylines out of financial data.
  • Self-starter, who has the ability to work within a team.
  • Experience in working and influencing in an environment of rapidly changing workload, tight deadlines, in the context of high client expectations and tight time frames.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with SAP and Business Objects would be advantageous.
  • CPG experience preferred.
