Salary: £19.39 to £20.22 per hour
Shift Patterns/ Hours: Monday to Friday 08:45 am to 17:00 pm - Hybrid - Min 2 days in the office/week
The role:
The postholder will be responsible for managing the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and income management teams as well as the finance assistant who is responsible for insurance on a day-to-day basis. In addition to day-to-day management, the role includes assisting with improvements to the Unit 4 system and making processes more efficient.
What you will be responsible for:
- Maintain a high standard of customer service throughout the Financial Services team.
- Act as a main point of contact for the Companies in relation to Financial Services functions.
- Act as the authority's lead for employer-related tax and VAT.
- Act as one of the Companies' authorised bank signatories.
- Administration of the Companies' bank account and Corporate Credit Card and associated online systems.
- Support the Systems Accountant with the administration and development of the finance systems.
Requirements:
- Experience in Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable systems and processes, VAT, and insurance.
- ATT qualified or equivalent.
- Two years of demonstrable experience working in finance, including the delivery of a payroll service.
- Ability to process and analyse data and information accurately and within specific time frames.
- Ability to interpret and apply legislation and professional guidance.
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
