We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Financial Sponsors Group (FSG) Director to join our client's team in London. This is a unique opportunity to lead and grow a high-performing team, driving strategic initiatives and fostering strong relationships with financial sponsors.
Leadership and Management: Steer and oversee the Financial Sponsors Group, ensuring the provision of superior advisory services.
Client Relationship Development: Forge and sustain strong alliances with private equity firms, investment funds, and other financial sponsors.
Business Development: Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, leveraging extensive industry knowledge and networks.
Transaction Oversight: Supervise the execution of intricate financial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and recapitalizations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive client solutions.
Mentorship: Offer strategic guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Client Coverage: Assume the banker role for FSG clients, engaging in strategic discussions with senior stakeholders.
Client Relationship Management: Drive selected client relationships, liaising with stakeholders across various levels to foster client dialogue and ownership.
Cross-Buy Opportunities: Identify and drive cross-buy opportunities.
Deal Team Coordination: Organize and establish internal deal teams to drive and coordinate origination.
Portfolio Management: Develop account plans and performance reviews to allocate resources effectively and optimize portfolio management, achieving KPIs.
Strategic Execution: Collaborate closely with Acquisition Finance and Corporate Finance to set and execute the business strategy for clients.
Qualifications:
Experience: Demonstrated experience in a senior role within a Financial Sponsors Group or related area.
Client Relationship Management: Proven track record of managing client relationships and leading high-performing teams.
Financial Acumen: In-depth knowledge of financial markets, products, and services.
Analytical and Communication Skills: Exceptional analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
Dynamic Environment Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Educational Background: MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
Industry Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in investment or corporate banking, Financial Markets, and Transaction Services.
Credit Risk Expertise: Experience in credit risk management.
Product Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant financial sponsor product suite and a willingness to develop expertise in specific fields.
Network: Preferably, an existing network of relationships within the financial sponsors sector.
