Job Description

Salary: £40,000 basic salary

Work Hours: 8.30 - 5pm

Working practice: Hybrid - Very flexible - The team currently meets on Wednesdays and Thursdays in a Leeds office but team members who live further away can opt for a couple of days per month.

Education Requirements: Degree Calibre

Experience Requirements: Junior to Intermediate Angular / Javascript

Qualifications: Any relevant certification is not essential but welcome.

Responsibilities:

The company is migrating all its front facing websites to Javascript Angular, sat on a Kentico CMS. Although not an e-commerce business the sites do allow for guest ordering and check out as well as other customer engaging functionality.

  • Work as part of a cross-functional Agile development team consisting of software developers, testers, architects and product owners to deliver robust and well-engineered software solutions
  • Approach work with a mindset that embraces Agile principles and culture, and be a positive example to others of the behaviours they should develop
  • Support Mobile Apps which are built on web technologies
  • Liaise with other teams and key individuals in a cross-functional DevOps environment
  • Delivery of the roadmap for the website and customer facing digital products, proposing and implementing the most effective approaches and technologies to fulfil requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, closely monitoring defect rates and working closely with end users.
  • Engage and collaborate with internal stakeholders to capture and evaluate requirements to feed into product backlogs.
  • Work closely with the technology and cyber security team to minimise risk and ensure compliance with GDPR and security best practice.
  • Maintain quality and accuracy of code and ensure effective source code control.
Skills:

Essential:

  • HTML & CSS
  • Javascript / Typescript
  • Angular or similar SPA framework
  • Object-orientated programming
  • Experience of working in a DevOps environment using source control

Desirable:

  • Material Design principles
  • Ability to mock-up designs and wireframes
