Job Description

Job title: Functional baseline Coordinator

Location: Hennigsdorf, Germany
Rate: €40 per hour

Contract: 12 months (scope for extension)

The Functional Baseline Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the functional architecture of rail systems, ensuring alignment with project requirements, and maintaining seamless communication across key interfaces and stakeholders, such as TCMS, Safety, CTC, and Systems teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Content and Deadline Coordination:

o Clarify content and deadlines with interfaces, including TCMS, Safety, CTC, and Systems.

o Maintain and update the Functional Change Requests (FCR) list.

o Facilitate regular coordination with ALSTOM.

  1. Baseline Planning and Decision Support:

o Present functional baseline planning as decision templates to designated ALSTOM contacts.

o Support the PrEM (Project Engineering Manager) in making decisions related to the functional baseline.

  1. Requirement Management and Documentation:

o Process functional architecture modules in DOORS per the requirement management process.

o Review and incorporate FCRs, including customer-originated and internal ALSTOM changes.

o Prepare concept documents (FVDS) to document and implement changes.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Language Proficiency: Mandatory fluency in German for effective customer negotiations with DB (Deutsche Bahn).
  • Strong experience in functional architecture, requirement management, and rail systems.
  • Proficiency in DOORS or similar requirement management tools.
