Job Description
A large Car Manufacturer is now looking for a General Manager in Distribution.
Qualifications:
- Must be a Graduate calibre.
- 5 years experience in logistics management role.
- Customer Management at a level.
- Experienced Change Manager (At least 1 Major Project Delivered).
- Succession planning & development of manager's.
- IT literate.
- Finance/Profit & Loss Management.
- Project Management.
- Min 3 years Manufacturing logistics experience.
- People Leadership.
- Commercial Acumen.
- Negotiating and Contracting.
- Identifying key issues and priorities.
- Leading and Managing Change.
- Business English.
- Achieving results in complex/ambiguous situations.
Responsibilities:
- Maximise the weekly, monthly and annual performance of the site(s) by providing leadership, focusing on customer requirements, effective operational performance, and a motivated workforce.
- Work in partnership with the customer and formulate relationships within the customer network.
- Integrate new working patterns to effect continuous improvement and demonstrate effective communications with employees, Trade Unions, and the customer base.
- Manage a diverse team to fulfil business requirements and prioritise effectively to meet customer targets and volumes.
- React to changes in volumes as outlined by the customer master schedule and manage the effects of New Model introduction on workforce flexibility.
- Ensure that the P & L data is controlled to the expectation level as deemed by the contract with the customer and contribute to the broader commercial environment.
