Compass Group UK & Ireland is seeking a passionate and dynamic General Manager to oversee both cleaning and catering operations at one of our key sites. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage all aspects of cleaning and catering services across the site, ensuring high standards are maintained consistently.

  • Manage and motivate a large, diverse team of operational staff, including supervisors and frontline colleagues.

  • Drive service excellence through effective team development, resource planning, and performance management.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the main point of contact and ensuring client satisfaction at all times.

  • Ensure all services are compliant with health & safety, food hygiene, and company policies.

  • Monitor budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and service delivery.

  • Implement and promote sustainability initiatives in line with Compass Group's ESG strategy.

Client Liaison:
  • Develop a deep understanding of client expectations and business objectives.

  • Provide regular service reviews, reports, and insights to the client.

  • Proactively respond to feedback, resolving issues with a customer-focused approach.

  • Identify opportunities to expand or enhance services in collaboration with the client.

What We're Looking For:
  • Proven experience in managing both cleaning and catering operations in a similar environment (e.g., healthcare, education, corporate).

  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills.

  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and contracts.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client relationship management skills.

  • A proactive, hands-on approach with a passion for delivering service excellence.

  • Knowledge of health and safety, HACCP, COSHH, and food safety regulations.
