Job Description
A large wholesaler in food is now looking for a General Manager in Distribution.
Responsibilities:
- Maximize the weekly, monthly, and annual performance of the site(s) by providing leadership, focusing on customer requirements, and ensuring effective operational performance.
- Manage a diverse team to fulfill business requirements and prioritize effectively to meet customer targets and volumes.
- Integrate new working patterns to effect continuous improvement.
- Demonstrate effective communication with employees, Trade Unions, and the customer base.
- Maintain an ability to react to changes in volumes as outlined by the customer master schedule.
- Ensure that the P & L data is controlled to the expected level as deemed by the contract with the customer.
- Contribute to the broader commercial environment, taking responsibility for attracting new and additional business.
Qualifications:
- Graduate caliber.
- 5 years experience in a logistics management role.
- Minimum 3 years logistics experience.
- Experienced Change Manager (At least 1 Major Project Delivered).
- IT literate.
- CPC required.

This position is in a unionized environment and involves managing an 100,000 square foot hall with an 8 million budget.
