General ManagerLocation: Glasgow

We are looking for a General Manager for our Glasgow factory site.

Job Responsibilities:

1. To manage the staff and all functions at the Glasgow Laundry site and achieve/exceed targets.
2. Full P&L responsibility for the site.
3. To prepare annual budgets for board approval, including capital expenditure recommendations.
4. To ensure customer losses are minimised on site and review service levels towards continuous improvement.
5. To ensure the efficient running of Production, Transport and Customer Service within agreed budgets.
6. To provide operational support to the Regional Sales Team to ensure that sales opportunities are maximised.
7. To ensure the safety of all employees and the safe operation of plant and equipment by maintaining the company policy on Health and Safety & COSHH requirements.
8. To provide ongoing training to all staff from commencement of service and throughout their employment and ensure a regular review of their training and development.
9. To foster and maintain good working relations throughout the company.
10. To carry out reasonable duties commensurate with the role which may be required by the Operations Director.

Experience:

1. Proven experience of operating successfully at a strategic level across the whole spectrum of factory management, with full P&L responsibilities.
2. A proven track record of building effective, sustainable and meaningful relationships with the customer base.
3. A successful track record of managing, leading and supporting a large management team.
