General Practitioner

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Newly Qualified GP (within 2 years of qualification) to work within our rural location PCN.

This role offers the chance to gain experience in Primary healthcare settings, with the possibility of future work in one of our practices.

Main duties of the job

• Location: Redlands Primary Care, Bow Medical Practice and Wallingbrook Health Group.
• Contract Type: Fixed term (12 months)
• Special Interest: We welcome applicants with a special interest (please specify in your application)
• Flexibility: We will work with you to create a work plan that suits you.
• Mentor: You will have a GP Mentor based within one of MDH PCN Practices.
• Exclusivity: Agency applications will not be considered.

About us

Mid Devon Healthcare is the Primary Care Network supporting Bow Medical Practice, Redlands Primary Care and Wallingbrook Health Group.

In 2019, Primary Care Networks were set up by the NHS to help support General Practice. It enabled the practices to recruit different skills to support the existing GPs and Nursing teams in practice. Mid Devon Healthcare now has 17 members of staff, of which 13 are involved in front line patient care. The PCN clinical team includes Pharmacists, Health Coaches, Social Prescribers, Mental Health Practitioners, First Contact Physiotherapists, and Occupational Therapists.

Person Specification Qualifications

• Qualified General Medical Practitioner with a licence to practice within the UK.
• Newly qualified within the last 2 years.
