Landscape Services is seeking a new Grounds Maintenance Team Leader to join their team. The successful candidate will lead tasks such as grass cutting, border works, pruning, sports field marking, and other general landscaping duties.

The ideal candidate should have demonstrable experience in Grounds Maintenance and be based in a commutable location to Tonbridge. They will also be responsible for supervising and organising the team, ensuring resource and material requirements are met, and maintaining Health and Safety standards.

Key duties:

• Ensure the team is able to complete work in line with the contract specification and provide excellent customer service, keeping customers informed throughout the process.
• Plan, organise, and supervise staff.
• Ensure equipment is safe and correct for use by carrying out inspections.
• Plan, identify, and order materials, ensuring chemical usage complies with current legislation.
• Maintain safe working practices, identify risks and unsafe practices to minimise potential for injury or accident, and report all incidents and near misses to senior staff.
• Use company IT and equipment to record daily site activity.

What we need from you:

• Minimum 2 years of Grounds Maintenance experience.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• PA1/PA6 is desirable.
• Demonstrable machinery maintenance, use, knowledge, and skill.
• Demonstrable Health and Safety knowledge.
• Computer literate.
• Experience in leading a team (desirable).
