Interim Head of Adults Commissioning

We are currently recruiting for an Interim Head of Adults Commissioning, who will manage the delivery of commissioning, quality assurance and contract management across Adults Social Care whilst providing advice and guidance to the team.

Key Responsibilities of the Interim Head of Adults Commissioning:

• Leading on the commissioning of adults and market management services
• Managing and coaching a team of commissioners to drive change and improve performance
• Improving the approach to quality assurance and contract management, ensuring they are monitored correctly and efficiently
• Developing and delivering commissioning strategies that are evidence based and outcome led

Skills, experience and knowledge required of the Interim Head of Adults Commissioning:

• The successful candidate will have a strong track record of working as a Head of Commissioning within local government Adults Social Care
• Track record of driving through efficiency savings as a result of implementing good systems
• Significant experience of successfully leading and coaching teams, and establishing positive working relationships with staff at all levels
• Broader commissioning experience i.e. in Public Health is desirable
