Head of Software Engineering & Architecture

A growing Insurance business is looking for someone to come onboard as a Head of Software Engineering & Architecture to kick off a range of projects, grow a new team, and design the roadmap for future engineering projects.

They are looking for an individual who can build and lead an architecture and engineering team from the ground up, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Essential skills of the Head of Software Engineering & Architecture:

1. Extensive career in software engineering
2. Prior background in .Net/C# engineering preferred
3. Highly competent with Microsoft Azure and well versed with a range of services including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, and Azure API Management.
4. Familiar with a range of DevOps tooling and processes including Kubernetes and Infrastructure as code tooling
5. Strong architecture and design skills

Desirable skills of the Head of Software Engineering & Architecture:

1. Experience with Data Engineering technologies on Azure stack
2. Insurance/FS industry experience

Salary: £120,000 - £150,000 per annum

Location: Central London, EC3A - 3 days per week
