Job Description

Siemens has an opportunity for an Area Head to ensure implementation of the Buildings business regional strategy and targets. This is a General Management position where you will strive to increase sales and service in all areas of Siemens' Buildings portfolio through both direct and in-direct go-to-market channels and achieve defined financial goals and sales targets. The role covers the South region, with predominantly London-based customers.

You'll make an impact by:
  • Implementing the regional strategy, guidelines, and targets providing services and solutions in the Buildings market.
  • Growing sales and service with existing and new customers.
  • Implementing Safety Leadership Culture.
  • Delivering organisational strategy with a clear understanding of the industry trends, economic sectors, and market dynamics that drive the strategic imperatives of the business.
  • Continually reviewing business plans against the organisation's strategic mandate.
  • Collaborating with customers to implement new solutions (e.g., digital business models, predictive manufacturing/service, blockchain). Supporting the 'up-sell' of opportunities along with the operations and sales team.
  • Managing the full range of field service delivery processes and ensuring that customer expectations are met.
  • Identifying any improvement opportunities and implementing measures to consistently improve. Implementing potential risk mitigation strategies and allocations to ensure successful outcomes are achieved.
  • Delegating work packages within the project team, synchronizing workstreams, and coordinating interfaces regarding work results.
  • Continuously controlling project status through a structured review process with respect to goal achievement, potential risks, and change requests; and taking appropriate measures to keep projects on track.
  • Building relationships with key customers at senior and Director levels.
  • Actively gathering and leveraging information to understand current and emerging customer business priorities, problems, expectations, and needs.
  • Helping employees maximize their own performance potential; planning and supporting the development of individual skills.
  • Establishing systems and processes to attract, develop, engage, and retain talented individuals; creating a work environment where people can realize their full potential.
You'll build on your existing skills and experience, including:
  • Knowledge of the market sector and experience with our products and solutions to implement services and solutions.
  • Experience leading effective teams, training, and guiding others.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate colleagues.
  • Ability to build partnerships with key customers to better understand their needs and priorities.
  • Up-to-date practical experience in project management methodology.
