Head of Banking Products

1. As Head of Banking Products you will set, drive and deliver the strategy for the Banks portfolio of Personal and Business Banking Accounts and Savings Accounts.
2. You will own the short and long term commercial planning and performance for your portfolio of products, making clear recommendations for changes to optimise customer and commercial outcomes, working collaboratively with the Head of Delivery & Controls, Head of Forecasting and Optimisation and Head of Cards, Payments and Fees.
3. You will use data and insight to manage your portfolio of products through the full product lifecycle - from new product development, in-life optimisation to product closure - delivering products that deliver positive customer outcomes and drive commercial growth.
4. You will work collaboratively with Value Streams/Product Owners to ensure all technical changes are prioritised in-line with the Banks methodology and aligned to the Banks strategy.
5. You will own the risk, controls, conduct and customer outcomes for your portfolio of products working collaboratively with the Head of Delivery & Controls plus first and second line risk teams.
6. You will ensure that key processes within the team are clearly documented in-line with the Banks standards.
7. You will drive a positive risk culture in the team ensuring decisions are taken that understand and appropriately mitigate the risks associated with the decision and ultimately drive good customer outcomes.
8. You will drive a culture of collaboration across the Banking product team and the wider stakeholder ecosystem to ensure the best outcomes for colleagues and customers through a robust engagement and challenge process.
9. You will lead and coach a team of Senior Product Managers and Product Managers. You will keep your 'finger on the pulse' of trends and opportunities, via customer research and market analysis.

1. Strong commercial understanding and management skills. Able to create compelling business cases.
2. You will be confident at decision making and problem solving, ensuring you take account of different perspectives while assessing and controlling risk.
3. You will be experienced at coaching and mentoring colleagues in product management practices, leading from the front by example.
4. You will have line management experience.
5. You will be able to work with 3rd party analytical tools (e.g. PowerBI) and excel to provide insight.
6. You will have a deep understanding of Personal and Business Current Accounts and Savings markets and customer needs.
