We are on the lookout for a high-performing Head of PMO to join our team as we have a number of exciting infrastructure projects throughout the UK. The Head Of Civil Works PMO will be responsible for the functional ownership for all Programme Controls across multiple multi-billion-pound sub-programmes within a project. This entails being responsible for the ownership, deployment, and continuous improvement of all the Project Controls elements of the project while ensuring we operate and deliver controls within the project's governance structure, organisation and delivery model.

You'll:
- Deliver exemplar Project Controls that is referenced by industry bodies and other major programmes as world class.
- Implement best practice principles to provide integrated project controls, including Schedule Management, Cost Management, Risk Management, Baseline and Change Management and Reporting & Insights.
- Oversee planning & co-ordination of PMO lead activities such as, annual budget planning, estimate completion updates, schedule deep-dives etc.
- Accountable for the on-time production and quality of functional month end Performance Reports.
- Be responsible for the ongoing management and continuous improvement of the PMO, ensuring effective project delivery across infrastructure projects.
- Identify and manage key internal and external interfaces including procurement, consents, dependent projects, etc.
- Coordinate with other project controls functions (risk, cost, etc.) to support activities such as QSRA and EVA, cost profiling, resource management, etc.
Essential Skills:
- Significant experience of working in a large-scale project environment.
- Experience of working in multiple Project Controls functions and understand how integrated Project Controls management information is achieved.
- Experience of working with multi-discipline teams and senior leadership to ensure that Project Controls activities are carried out effectively.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in business analysis, accounting, finance, construction, engineering or project management, or related technical field.
- A track record of working as a Project Controls Director on large and complex infrastructure projects.
- Experience of working within multiple Project Controls Functions of: cost control, estimating, scheduling, change management and risk management.
- Detailed understanding of earned value analysis.
- Experience of successfully managing a team in a matrix structure on a project.
- Experience with increasing responsibility showing an ability to manage senior stakeholders.
- Deliverables focused and an accomplished problem solver, rising to meet any challenge.
- Excellent presentation, influencing and facilitation skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Desirable:
- Active membership of AACE, PMI, APM or similar association with association certifications.
- User of a range of reporting and analytics software and project controls systems particularly Power BI.
- Understanding of various contract types, in particular the NEC suite and FIDIC.
- Experience in the Nuclear sector.
Requirements and Location:
