The Role

The Head of Communications and Campaigns is responsible for defining and delivering a high quality communications and events programme, focussed on the membership and the PRS for Music team to support the business objectives. They shape the development and delivery of PRS's creative and content portfolio to strengthen our brand awareness and build positive sentiment in support of our activities. This role has 4 direct reports.

This is a 12-14 month fixed-term contract or secondment role, contract length is dependent on start date.

Responsibilities

As our Head of Communications and Campaigns, some of your day to day duties will include:

  • In partnership with the Head of PR, Marketing and Digital, develop and implement co-ordinated communications and events which deliver against the corporate objectives.
  • Work with senior leadership to align our member communications keeping our messaging focused and targeted.
  • Support the delivery of an ambitious content strategy delivered across all communications channels, including in support of marketing campaigns.
  • Lead the delivery of PRS' events programme, including the AGM and PRS Presents.
  • Lead and inspire the creative team to ensure the high-quality development of our brand and tone of voice.
  • Use data and insight to measure effectiveness of communications to constantly improve what we do.
  • Plan, manage and monitor the communications budget.

About you

  • At least three years of senior management in a communications team, ideally in a membership or similar organisation.
  • Experience of, advocate for, data driven decisions, well-versed in using insight to better understand audience's needs and expectations.
  • A proven track record of delivering omnichannel campaigns to internal and external audiences, regularly measuring success against KPIs and adapting where necessary to increase reach.
  • Experience of managing creative and/or branding agencies, delivering cost efficient and innovative outcomes.
  • Knowledge of the effective use of digital and audio and visual content to deliver complex and corporate messaging.
  • Advanced and inspirational leadership, presentation and communication skills.

The Process

Our interview process for this role is simple:

  • First stage interview will take place virtually on MS Teams.
  • Second stage interview will take place in person at our London Bridge Hub.

Location

We offer a hybrid working model, allowing employees to work from home up to three days a week.
