We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Head of Design to join a leading main contractor specialising in modular builds. This is a contract role, based on a landmark £60 million modular hotel project in Shoreditch.

The Role

As the Head of Design, you will:

• Lead the design function for the project, ensuring all design aspects meet quality, budget, and timeline requirements.
• Manage and mentor a team of Design Managers, providing guidance and fostering collaboration.
• Report directly to the Operations Director, providing updates on design progress and addressing challenges effectively.
• Act as the primary liaison between internal teams, consultants, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and alignment.
• Oversee design coordination to support the successful delivery of this modular hotel project on time and to the highest standards.

• Has proven experience in a leadership role within design management, ideally in modular construction projects.
