Job Description

Join us as a Head of eQ platform

  • This is a key strategic role in the stand up of a robust domain operating model for the RBSI Chief Information Office
  • You'll be managing the operational activity of RBSI's flagship customer facing channel, eQ
  • You will be responsible for delivering on change as well as the management of the platform, including all aspects of financial management, risk management and regulatory compliance
What you'll do

As the technology lead of this key platform, we'll look to you to build the platform roadmap in partnership with the business and to use your expertise to make sure that business solutions are optimised for our customers' needs and in-line with the overall technology strategy.

Building an effective team will be a key aspect of the role as we combine teams that haven't been organised in this way before. You'll also be involved in modernising our ways of working and the technology architecture, as well as further embracing agile methodologies.

You'll also be:

  • Taking ownership of the financial, commercial and flow performance of the platform
  • Managing the platform risk culture, making sure that teams effectively collaborate to mitigate risk
  • Delivering the regulatory reporting and managing the relevant budgets provided
The skills you'll need

In this role, you'll need to have experience of running a customer-facing technology platform with a history of operating in a complex technology environment.

Operational risk management, financial management, collaboration and negotiation are all important elements of this role, as is demonstrable commercial acumen with an acute understanding of the business landscape.

You'll also be expected to have

  • Leadership skills through experience of managing engineering teams with mixed technical skills
  • Architecture, design and engineering skills
  • Experience of working and running high performance Agile and non-Agile programmes, projects and teams
