Head of Finance - Campbells Prime Meat - based in Linlithgow.
Sysco - who's operating companies are made up of Brakes, Fresh Direct, KFF, Medina and more recently 'Campbells Prime Meat', are now recruiting for a Head of Finance to join the Sysco GB Finance Team. This role will be based at Campbells Prime Meat located in Linlithgow on a full time, permanent basis, offering a hybrid working approach, with 3 days on site per week.
The Head of Finance for Campbells Prime Meat is the key business partner to the Managing Director of the business. This is a high-profile role and key to its delivery is the ability to balance technical capability with strategic awareness, commerciality, communication and leadership.
This is a full end to end role so is required to provide technical and commercial financial support, challenge and insight to drive the goals of the business, optimise profitability through an effective balance of financial and commercial decision making and judgment and be the key conduit into the Sysco GB finance team, representing Campbells Prime Meat.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Leadership
Manage and mentor the finance team, ensuring professional development and adherence to best practices. Foster a collaborative and efficient working environment within the finance team and wider organisation.
- Finance Business Partnering
Support and challenge the Leadership teams to drive performance whilst being the lead Business Partner to the CPM Managing Director, being an advisor to support delivery of strong year on year financial performance.
- Financial Analysis & Strategic Decision Support:
Providing financial analysis and insights to assist with strategic planning and operational decisions, presenting findings and recommendations on financial performance to the senior leadership team. Conducting profitability analysis and identifying cost-saving opportunities
- Accounting Operations:
Overseeing the daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, stock takes and general ledger. Ensure the timely reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting:
To include overseeing the preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting. Ensuring all financial reports are compliant with regulatory requirements and reviewing and analysing financial data to ensure the integrity and accuracy of reports.
- Budgeting & Forecasting:
Prepare the financial budget and forecasts and track variances to assist in decision-making and financial planning.
- Cash Flow Management:
Managing the company's cash flow, including optimizing working capital and ensuring adequate liquidity.
- Internal Controls & Compliance:
Implementing and monitoring internal control systems to ensure the proper safeguarding of assets. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and tax requirements. Co-ordinate with external auditors for the annual audit and ensure timely resolution of any audit findings.
- Co-ordination with Sysco GB Finance:
On site co-ordination of IT & telecoms, insurance, banking, transfer pricing and fleet with Sysco GB Finance.
You'll be qualified with significant PQE (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) and have experience working within a fast-paced commercial finance environment and able to act quickly and deliver great results, whilst working cross functionally. A senior leader and analytical thinker who has established history of adding value within a complex commercial environment and the ability to understand trends and results. You'll have the enthusiasm and tenacity to strive for continuous improvement with the ability to act on your own initiative and positively influence colleagues across all levels, including senior Directors. This role requires a high level of competency in financial management with the confidence and ability to interact complex data to tell a compelling story. We are looking for someone with strong communication and influencing skills to partner and build cross functional relationships across the business whilst engaging and motivating others to meet objectives. A strong understanding of advanced accounts, regulatory issues, and tax planning is essential. Project Management, System development and project implementation knowledge would be preferred.
