Job Description

The Opportunity

This is a key role within the finance team, reporting to the Group Finance Director and overseeing a medium sized team.

  1. To oversee the financial control of all Group legal entities, including monthly accounts, payroll, and finance systems.
  2. To lead the statutory reporting and annual audit process, managing relationships with 3rd-party advisors and ensuring compliance with financial controls, procedures, and reporting requirements.
  3. Oversee monthly accounts preparation and present and interpret monthly results to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT).
  4. Proactively analyse financial results, trends, and data to support decision making.
  5. Produce budget models and forecasts.
  6. Manage cash flows and working capital, and take corrective actions where needed.
  7. Oversee, implement and maintain financial controls, processes, and procedures.
  8. Oversee various parent company reporting requirements.
  9. Team leadership, resourcing, training, and development, while ensuring KPIs are established and met for operational efficiency.

Background and Experience

  1. Qualified Accountant with experience in a similar role.
  2. Detailed understanding of Finance reporting functions.
  3. Highly competent in the use of MS Excel.
  4. Experience in the use of Sage accounts package or similar including project accounting/job costing.
  5. Experience in managing and developing others.
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
