The West of England Mayoral Combined Authority (MCA) is seeking to appoint a Head of Finance (Deputy S73 Officer), to lead the Finance team. Your key responsibilities in this role would be to ensure a focus on delivering the priorities of the Metro Mayor by:
- Supporting the development and implementation of the medium-term financial strategy for the MCA.
- Developing and driving financial planning processes to ensure efficiency and sustainability.
- Ensuring financial matters are at the heart of organisational decision-making by providing strategic financial advice to senior leaders.
- Completing the preparation and supporting the audit of the annual statement of accounts, including ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory financial reporting.
- Providing leadership and oversight in areas such as treasury management, counter fraud arrangements, and business case development.
