Job Description

Arthur is excited to be exclusively partnering with a market-leading global Specialty (Re)Insurer to recruit a new Head of Financial Risk. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing and innovative organisation that has demonstrated exceptional growth and success within the industry over the past few years.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the Financial Risk function: Oversee all aspects of market, credit, and liquidity risk, providing expert guidance and challenge.
  2. Engage with senior stakeholders: Collaborate with senior leaders across Risk, Investments, Actuarial, and Finance, ensuring risk considerations are integrated into decision-making.
  3. Build strong relationships: Effectively communicate with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and clear understanding of financial risks.
  4. Mentor and develop the team: Lead by example, helping to develop junior members of the risk team through mentorship and training.

About You:

  1. Strong Quantitative Risk Background: You'll have a deep understanding of risk management in either life or non-life insurance.
  2. CFA or FIA Qualifications: While not essential, these qualifications will be highly regarded.
  3. Leadership Experience: Proven experience in managing and developing teams, with the ability to lead and inspire a small but high-performing function.
  4. Clear Communication Skills: You must be able to articulate complex ideas clearly to senior stakeholders, both internally and externally.
