As part of the Magnetic leadership team, this role focuses on expanding our networking, driving lead generation, and fuelling our next chapter of growth.

At Magnetic, the Head of Growth will lead business development, aligning and shaping our sales and marketing strategy. This key position will expand our client base, deepen relationships, and deliver high-impact, high-value work.

Drive Growth

  • Lead creation and conversion: Build relationships in new markets, generate new leads, and grow the Magnetic leadership network through outreach (market engagement, event lead gen, b2b marketing, and networking).
  • Deep market expertise: Confidently understand the needs and challenges of FTSE 250 leadership (particularly in healthcare, consumer goods, and financial services-but not exclusively).
  • Storytelling: Develop and deliver a compelling corporate narrative that resonates with FTSE 250 leaders, demonstrating a deep understanding of their operational context. Align the Magnetic expertise to address their specific business challenges and opportunities while reflecting our mission to design better futures, drive growth, and champion innovation.
  • Market access: Identifying, prioritising, and driving 'top of the funnel' channels that will ensure a significant increase in the number of quality opportunities.
  • Client engagement and sales: Manage and negotiate multiple deals and client/account relationships simultaneously, expertly navigating complex discussions and growing relationships that deliver long-term value for the companies and leaders we work with.

Collaborate with Leadership & Marketing

  • Growth processes: Structure and automate our sales processes with processes, systems and rituals that help us operate strategically.
  • Profiles: Elevate leadership profiles on LinkedIn and at speaking events, focusing on design and innovation expertise.
  • Sales and marketing integration: Provide marketing insights, feedback, and collaboration to optimise lead conversion and external messaging.
  • Market engagement: Leverage insights to inform and enhance market engagement activities, driving awareness and deepening relationships within our target sectors to generate interest in our offerings.
  • Brand awareness: Drive external storytelling to showcase Magnetic work, elevating our presence and reputation in the market.

Champion exceptional client service

  • Strategic growth: Enhance our value propositions to amplify our impact and drive success.
  • Account growth: Support the business and cultivate sustainable, long-term partnerships that transcend project-based engagements and drive advocacy and impact for the people and companies we work with.
  • Account management: Act as a strategic advisor within the business, championing a culture that's best in class for client services, experience and value.

What you Bring:

Experience & Expertise

  • 10+ years of B2B sales experience in consulting, design and innovation, or related industries.
  • Proven track record in lead generation and winning work, with ideally a black book of senior c-suite relationships.
  • Strategic thinker with expertise in identifying business opportunities, negotiating deals, and maintaining strong relationships.

  • Skilled in lead generation, cold outreach, and market engagement.
  • Strong collaboration with leadership and marketing teams for aligned growth.
