With an expansive network across the UK, they have a strong foothold in their industry and are renowned for their commitment towards providing excellent service and value to their customers. They are diversifying their service lines and therefore require a PMO who has breadth across B2B, B2C and, ideally Financial Services.
Job Description
- Lead the Project Management Office (PMO) and ensure delivery of strategic projects within the Technology Department.
- Manage a lean team and be hands-on working with key stakeholders in IT and Transformation.
- Manage resources, schedules, financials and adhere to quality and control guidelines throughout the project life cycle.
- Align project objectives with company goals, ensuring your team is clear about their responsibilities.
- Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve desired project outputs.
- Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear manner.
- Prepare reports for upper management regarding the status of a project.
- Ensure the smooth execution of all PMO processes and procedures.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Head of PMO should have:
- Experience of leading a lean team of PMO and change analysts in an IT department.
- Proven ability to sell the benefits of governance and reporting to challenging stakeholders.
- Experience leading PMO teams in organizations undergoing increasing IT change.
- Experience leading PMO teams in a range of industries and maturity contexts, ideally including retail, financial services, and IT services.
- Experience managing offshore supplier-led projects ideally with a major player such as Wipro, TCS, or similar.
What's on Offer
- £80,000 - £100,000+ based on relevant candidate experience.
- This is a salaried Fixed Term Contract running for 12 months - there is not a day rate option.
- Bonus and benefits in line with the permanent role.
- 3 days on site in the Midlands is non-negotiable.
